About Celtworks

Hello, my name is David Veitch, proprietor of Celtworks Limited.

I was born in Galashiels, Scotland, and immigrated to Canada with my parents at the age of 10. Growing up, I remember our home ringing with the sounds of Celtic music, my parents’ way of keeping the old country alive. This instilled in me a great appreciation for all types of music. I always had the desire to learn to play the pipes, but I just couldn’t find the time with a growing family.

About 12 years ago the time was finally right, and I had the good fortune to find my way to the White Heather Pipes & Drums in Aurora, Ont. Under their tutelage I learned the basics. I supplemented my learning with camps, private lessons, and lots and lots of practice. Before long, I was hooked. I'm now proud to say I'm the Pipe Major of White Heather and have helped this band grow from 15 to 25 members, and still growing. We have also added a competitive Grade 5 competition band. Prior to this I was a member of The York Regional Police Pipes and Drums. With them I've had the honour of playing in some beautiful locations such as Paris, Monaco, Switzerland, Colorado, and a 9/11 tribute in New York City.

My love of piping is what brought me to Celtworks. My goal is to provide the best products, at the best prices, with the best service. Celtworks is run from my own home, so overhead is kept low and pricing more competitive.

I invite you to email me at celtworks@celtworks.com or call me at 905-252-1584 should you have any questions about our products or your requirements.

Thanks for your support, and keep on piping!
